Parul Rotor is a puzzle game about the giant lanterns of San Fernando, Pampanga. This page explains, plainly and completely, what the app does and does not do with your data.
Parul Rotor saves your puzzle progress, streaks, ribbons, pinned lanterns, and any sandbox rotor designs you build, as plain files inside the app's own Documents folder on your device. Your settings — sound, music, haptics, evening reminder, and appearance — are stored the same way. None of this ever leaves your device. It is not uploaded anywhere, and we have no way to see it.
Some lanterns let you set a backdrop photo behind their light show — a window, a porch, a street at night. If you choose to use this feature, the app opens the camera or your photo library only after you ask it to, and only to let you pick or take that one image.
When you tap Share on a finished lantern's showcase, Parul Rotor renders an image card and hands it to Apple's standard system share sheet. Whether and where that image goes from there — Messages, Mail, saving to Photos, or anywhere else — is entirely your choice, made through Apple's own sharing interface. The app itself does not send this image anywhere on its own.
If you allow it, Parul Rotor can send a local reminder about tonight's lantern or an at-risk streak. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system. No notification content is generated by, or sent through, a remote server.
Parul Rotor works fully offline. Its puzzles are generated on your device from a seeded algorithm, not downloaded from a server. The app makes no network requests to us or to any third party, and contains no advertising or analytics software development kits.
Parul Rotor does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all. The app contains no chat, no user-generated content shared with others, and no in-app purchases.
Because everything is stored only on your device, you are always in full control of it. Deleting the app deletes all of its stored data with it. Inside the app, Settings also offers a "Reset progress" option that clears your saved puzzle progress, streaks, ribbons and sandbox designs without needing to uninstall anything.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future update adds a genuinely new feature that touches your data — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
